Nine Dead as Gas Leak Sparks Fire in Iran Industrial Workshop

(MENAFN) Nine workers perished on Monday following toxic gas exposure when flames tore through an industrial facility in Iran's central Isfahan province, according to an Iranian news agency.

The blaze ignited along the manufacturing line of a workshop situated within Dowlat Abad industrial complex in Borkhar County, prompting immediate deployment of rescue teams, firefighting crews and paramedics to the location, the news agency reported, citing Mansour Shishehforoush, head of the provincial crisis management authority.

Shishehforoush confirmed all fatalities were employees of the workshop, noting that investigators were examining circumstances surrounding the incident and would release findings once specialist assessments were completed.
