Gaza Bleeds: Israeli Deadly Assaults Kill 97 Palestinians
Eyewitnesses reported a significant escalation in the Israeli military's aerial bombardment and shelling, with intensified strikes hitting southern and eastern sectors of Gaza City, notably the Zeitoun, Shejaiya, and al-Tuffah neighborhoods.
In a further escalation, Israeli forces targeted four schools serving as shelters for displaced Palestinians, despite issuing evacuation orders. Three of these schools were located in the Zeitoun area, with one in al-Tuffah, sources confirmed.
The latest attack saw at least 34 fatalities, including women and children, in an Israeli strike on the Gaza City beach, according to a medical official. The assault also left many others injured.
Witnesses detailed how a fighter jet launched a missile at a café and rest area west of Gaza City, utterly destroying both locations.
Additionally, five bodies were retrieved from Al-Shifa Medical Complex after a drone strike targeted civilians at Al-Shati refugee camp, situated west of Gaza City, a medical source told media.
Elsewhere, a Palestinian was killed, and 23 others sustained injuries when the Israeli military struck people gathering for aid on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza, as confirmed by Al-Awda Hospital in central Gaza.
Israeli artillery also claimed the life of one Palestinian and injured several others when it shelled tents in the al-Mawasi area, located to the west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, local medical sources reported.
In a separate incident, body parts of 10 Palestinians and a number of injured individuals were brought to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital after an Israeli airstrike hit a commercial warehouse in Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood. The facility, used by charitable organizations to distribute humanitarian aid, was severely damaged in the attack, media reported.
A woman’s body and several injured individuals were also transported to Baptist Hospital following an Israeli helicopter bomb attack on Al-Sikka Street in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, medical sources added.
