Turkish Intelligence Engages in Talks with Hamas

(MENAFN) The head of Turkish intelligence convened with a Hamas delegation on Sunday to deliberate on potential actions for implementing a ceasefire and facilitating the delivery of assistance to Gaza, according to security insiders.

Sources indicated that Ibrahim Kalin, the leader of Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization, held talks with the delegation headed by Muhammad Darwish, who presides over the leadership council of the Palestinian faction Hamas.

The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza was reportedly the foremost issue discussed during the session, the sources mentioned.

The dialogue also involved an evaluation of Türkiye’s coordination with the global community to halt the ongoing devastation and suffering in Gaza and to secure the swift entry of humanitarian support.

The need for unity among Palestinian factions during this crucial moment was likewise a focal point of the conversation.

Kalin, during the meeting, reiterated that "Türkiye stands by the Palestinian people."
